I first read this book when I started my work life. After a long gap, went through it again a few weeks ago. Both times, liked it a lot.
Using simple words and straight forward thoughts, “Who Moved My Cheese?” will stop you from doing what you do currently, momentary at least, and make you aware of those tiny changes happening all around you.
Then, this short book will provoke you to think, look inwards and change your response towards those changes.
That said, the beginning and end sections are trivial, a bit boring and does not add much to the main content.
I can relate to the feelings of Sniff, Scurry, Hem and Haw at various points in my work life.
The book taught me not to be afraid of unknown future, and to imagine myself enjoying the very next “New Cheese” I’m searching for.
One of the many unforgettable quotes is to ask yourself the question “What would you do if you weren’t afraid?” when you are in a tough, tricky situation.
Answer to that question will help you pick the right option.
